What If The Doorbell Button Is Stuck?

I really hate it when the door bell button is stuck. But some times such a thing would happen.If it comes to you, what would you do? It is important to repair your door bell so that you will know when visitors and deliveries arrive at your door. In this case, would you like to solve it by yourselves or asking for help? Actually, it is quite easy yo solve this door bell problem, so may be you could try to DIY.

We all know that the stuck door bell button will prevent it from functioning properly. The button may worn out from daily use or extreme weather exposure. Though the door bell is wired electrically, it won't take you a long time to fix the stuck button.
1. After cutting off the power of the door bell, unscrew the door bell screws which go through the door bell button assembly into the exterior of your house with a screwdriver.
2. Lift the door bell button assembly off of the exterior of your house. Sometimes, layers of paint may cause it to stick, so you may need to exert some pressure until the paint seal is broken.
3. Remove the screws on the backside of the door bell button assembly that hold the two wires in place. Remove the wires from around the screws.

4. Hold the replacement door bell button assembly near the exterior of the house where it will be installed. Connect the wires in place around the screws on the back side of the replacement unit. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver.
5. Position the replacement door bell button assembly in place on the exterior of your home. Drive the provided screws through the mounting holes in the assembly into the exterior of your home to secure it in place.
